
Construction Safety Week
BILD Edmonton Metro’s Construction Safety week enables members to engage in hands-on learning, industry storytelling, and positive recognition of safety practices.
BILD Edmonton Metro’s Construction Safety Week will take place during May 4 to 8, 2026, aligning with National Safety and Health Week led by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).
The event will feature a week-long engagement series, anchored by a flagship “Construction Safety Boot Camp” – a hands-on, fairground-style safety event showcasing real-life scenarios, industry expertise, and partner demonstrations.

Construction Safety Bootcamp
BILD Edmonton’s Health and Safety Working Group will be hosting a Construction Boot Camp, with over 20 companies that specialize in safety, from breaking ground, to active construction sites, and to the office, to create a fun and interactive day that combines education with networking.
There will be many different booths that showcase industry partners that are championing safety in the industry. Attendees will be able to visit all booths, engage in mock scenarios, and enjoy a BBQ lunch!

NextGen Construction Kick Off
Get ready for one of the best mixers of the year! NextGen’s annual Construction Kick Off is the place to be. The committee has taken over On the Rocks to host an evening full of networking, food, beverages, and a live band – Whiskey Over Wine Tribute.
The mixer is a chance for the industry to come together before the construction season begins to build new relationships, maintain current connections, and have a great time!
