Jason Syvixay is a registered professional planner and PhD candidate who has worked in non-profit and private/public sectors.
At the City of Edmonton, Jason led precedent-setting initiatives like the Infill Roadmap, Missing Middle Infill Design Competition, and Zoning Bylaw GBA+ and Equity Toolkit. Prior to Edmonton, Jason managed the Downtown Winnipeg Business Improvement Zone, where he built and inspired a safer, more resilient, and inclusive downtown. Through media platforms such as the Winnipeg Free Press, Plan Canada, and Canadian Architect, Jason regularly convenes dialogue around pressing urban issues.
