BILD Edmonton Metro’s Construction Safety week enables members to engage in hands-on learning, industry storytelling, and positive recognition of safety practices.
BILD Edmonton Metro’s Construction Safety Week took place during May 4 to 8, 2026, aligning with National Safety and Health Week led by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).
The 2026 initiative featured a week-long engagement series, anchored by a flagship “Construction Safety Boot Camp” – a hands-on, fairground-style safety event showcasing real-life scenarios, industry expertise, and partner demonstrations.

Events
Construction Safety Bootcamp
BILD Edmonton’s Health and Safety Working Group hosted a Construction Boot Camp, with over 20 companies that specialize in safety, from breaking ground, to active construction sites, and to the office, to create a fun and interactive day that combines education with networking.
NextGen Construction Kick Off
NextGen’s annual Construction Kick Off Mixer took place at On the Rocks, with an evening full of networking, food, beverages, a photobooth, and a live band – Whiskey Over Wine Tribute.
