Edmonton Surpasses Records in Growth as Alberta Shatters Housing Starts in 2025
In January 2026, Alberta set a historic record with more than 53,000 housing starts — the second consecutive year of record-breaking construction — driven in large part by the Edmonton Metro Region, which saw the highest growth yet in housing starts.
